Las Vegas Hotels for the Family, Couples or Just You!
It’s no secret that Las Vegas is a playground for adults. Casinos that require visitors to be at least 21 years old define the main drag, Las Vegas Boulevard.
So if you’re thinking of bringing the family along, you’ll want to check out the only two “kid friendly” hotels the city has to offer: Circus Circus and Excalibur. Coming to Las Vegas single and ready to mingle or for a romantic stay with your honey— well, that’s another story.
It’s not that youngsters aren’t welcome in the city, but every Las Vegas casino and even some hotels and fine dining establishments certainly frown upon the idea of kids. In fact, most hotels make they’re rooms unaccommodating to children on purpose because the goal is to keep beds filled with people who will spend money at slot machines, tables and in bars.
If you must, though, there are attractions to keep your
kids entertained. And if that’s not in the cards, several hotels offer babysitting services. Nannies & Housekeepers USA, which offers in-room babysitting 24/7, has been recognized for putting their nannies through extensive screening and training, and several exclusive Las Vegas hotels promote their services (Wynn, MGM and Ritz-Carlton).
But if you’ve got some time on your hands and some money to spend, kids seem to get quite a kick out of the
Adventuredome at Circus Circus
The white tigers, dolphins and exploding volcano at the Mirage
The pirate battle at Treasure Island; the grand lion exhibit at MGM
The roller coasters at New York-New York and Sahara; or even the
However, not including transportation or meals, doing only a fraction of these things with two children and two adults will cost somewhere between $80-$250.
If you can rent a car, outside of the city there’s also the Hoover Dam, Red Rock Canyon, Grand Canyon, the Ethel M. Chocolate Factory (on the way to Hoover Dam), or guided raft trips through the Black Canyon on the Colorado River. Combined, these excursions could make for a fun-filled and tiring day for the whole family. These excursions are also fun to do with a partner.
Children, singles and couples alike can all appreciate an occasional trip to the museum. Just north of Fremont Street, or downtown Las Vegas (which could also be considered an attraction in itself), visitors can find the Lied Discovery Children’s Museum and a Natural History Museum.
But if it’s just you and your pals on this trip to Las Vegas, Rehab at the Hard Rock Hotel has it's weekly Sunday pool party. This is a great place to meet people just like you who are single and ready to party. Mandalay Bay, the Venetian, Palms and MGM Grand are also known to host parties and promote other services catering to singles.
Vegas is also a stylish getaway for a romantic weekend for two. Between the glamorous hotels on The Strip, couples can have a different and delicious dining experience every night of the week. You can even get hitched on a whim if that’s what the night leads to. Throughout the city, there are dozens of 24-hour wedding chapels.
To stay, though, we’ve found the sexiest rooms at the Venetian and Signature Suites at MGM, in particular. However, several of the giants on The Strip should not be overlooked. Aside from lush room with lovely aesthetic décor, most large hotels offer accommodating, in-room services to boot. If you’ve got the money to spend, the Venetian’s stylish Jacuzzi rooms, large beds and glamorous bathrooms make for a fabulous retreat after a big dinner and night at the casino.
